Climate Change

Why You Should Care About The Antarctic Climent Change

Antarctic Climent ChangeThe state of the global climate is shifting drastically out of proportion with the natural balance of the earth. The Antarctic ice cap is melting and losing mass at a drastic rate. This means that we will see more drastic weather changes and more species of living organisms going extinct. The primary cause for this shift in global climate is the increase in green house gases.

This increase in green house gases has cause a hole in the ozone layer which has increased climate at the north pole. Increase in the climate there has cause a climate change in Antarctica including an increase in ice levels around certain regions . This is because the winds produced by this climate change have caused a warming change to the western coast of Antarctica while increasing cooling trends elsewhere.

This hasn’t ever happened before in the history of earth. This is supported by facts found by paleoclimate studies done on ice cores throughout the reason. These ice cores have shown that there is a wide increase in CO2 and CH4. These increases have never been seen before in the history of earth and is the primary cause for this climate shift.

There is also evidence of new vegetation in regions where nothing has grown before. This is cause by warming of the soil and as these areas increase in size, it might not be possible to reverse the damage that has been done. This new proof should be all that we need to know to try to lessen our impact.

The more climates shifts we are likely to experience a harder time growing crops. This will lead to wide spread food shortages and many will starve. The only way to prevent this future is to lessen our output of CO2 and CH4 gases.
